I've never used a solid shampoo bar before (was about to take the plunge a while back at Lush, but then found out that many of their products are made with controversial chemicals and aren't natural). Aaaanyway, I've been on the hunt since and finally found this Light Stone shampoo bar. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works! I've been through so many natural shampoos and been disappointed at how they either didn't seem to clean well, barely rinsed away the Floridian funk here or left hair feeling greasy.
This Light Stone bar lathers really easily, has a light scent that's not overpowering and lasts for ages (took 1.5 months to use up)!Posted 4/23/12

Light Stone Organic Soap's shampoo bar has a thick, rich, creamy lather that is created with CERTIFIED organic oils. The oils include olive oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil and a combination of pure essential oils. It will not strip hair of it's natural oils but it will remove built-up residue from today's heavy conditioners and styling products. And the best part is that it contains no sodium lauryl sulfate, no petroleum products and no parabens, no synthetic fragrances, no chemical preservatives....just healthy ingredients for healthy hair.
Light Stone Soaps are packaged in Nature Flex cellophane, made from wood cellulose fibers sourced with sustainable forestry principles. Certified biodgradable and compostable and made carbon zero. The cellophane generally biodegrades in 28-60 days.
The lavender essential oil has a wonderfully moisturizing effect and the rosemary essential oil is very stimulating to the scalp. This is a great shampoo for every member of the family!
Why We Like This
Shampoo bars are about as eco as one can get. There is no plastic bottle to recycle, no extra packaging sealing the bottle shut, no wasted shampoo that doesn't want to come out of the spout...I was most definitely a skeptic when it came to shampoo bars, but gave it a try and now I'm a believer.
